The flight simulator started in January 2009 as “Project A330” (www.dalpi.de). Since then a lot of things changed – The structure has been modified multiple times and gauges/panels were added or replaced. The biggest improvement was added in July 2016: The simulator moved to an own room and got a 230° visual system. Since then the simulator is open for customers and is known as “Flugsimulator Düren” (www.flugsimulator-dueren.de).
The simulator is an exact replica of the Airbus A330-200 D-ALPI which currently flies for Air Berlin (formerly LTU).
